Walking in Memory of Paul Campbell

Six years ago, Paul Campbell lost his courageous battle with ALS. While the years have passed, Team Campbell's commitment to honoring his memory and helping others facing this devastating disease has only grown stronger. Through the incredible generosity of family, friends, and colleagues, Team Campbell continues to support the fight against ALS in Paul's honor.

Paul was a devoted husband, a loyal friend, a gifted public servant, and someone who believed deeply in giving back to his community. Even during his illness, he faced every challenge with remarkable grace, dignity, and courage. Those qualities continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Since its founding, Team Campbell has raised more than $40,000 in support of the ALS community, helping fund vital services for individuals and families living with ALS while advancing research toward better treatments and, one day, a cure.

This Year's Walk

This year's Team Campbell Walk will be especially meaningful.
 

Paul's longtime friend, Bob Burke, owner of Pot au Feu, has generously offered to lead participants on a walking tour through the historic streets of Providence. A gifted storyteller and lifelong Providence restaurateur, Bob will share the fascinating history of the city Paul loved so much.

Following the walk, participants will return to the Independence Trail Colonial Tavern, where Bob has graciously arranged for everyone to enjoy a menu inspired by the traditional foods that would have been served in a colonial Providence tavern.

There could be no more fitting way to honor Paul. He loved Providence, its rich history, and the stories that brought it to life. Most of all, he treasured good conversations with good friends.

Whether participating in this special walk or supporting Team Campbell with a donation, every contribution helps the ALS Rhode Island provide critical services to individuals and families living with ALS while supporting the research that brings us closer to a world without ALS.

Thank you for remembering Paul and for continuing to stand with everyone whose lives have been touched by ALS. Together, we can bring hope to families facing this disease today while working toward the day when ALS is no longer a devastating diagnosis.

Team Campbell will gather at the Independence Trail Colonial Tavern on Weybosset Street in downtown Providencebefore beginning the historic walking tour. Following the walk, participants will return to the tavern for a colonial-inspired luncheon.

Everyone is invited to join Team Campbell for this memorable day of friendship, history, and hope.
